Our Trip Experience
Before picking Vazhvanthol, we spent enough time to search for the best wildlife areas and waterfalls in Thiruvananthapuram. None of us wanted to spent time at crowded locations.
So we searched for less explored waterfalls near the city. Our search for such a spot had ended with the decision to visit this waterfalls.
We were a team of 15 members lead by two experienced wildlife tourists, Vino, and Siju George Kureekkattu. We started our journey from Trivandrum central at 11:30 AM.
We reached Kanithadam check post within 90 minutes travel. We knew it was a forest area and no shops and hotels available. So we had food and water as the parcel.
After spending a little time with local tribal people and visiting their worship place, we continued our walk through the jungle to Vazhvanthol waterfalls.
As we expected the route is adventurous and took more time to cover 2.2 KM than usual.
This trip was next after our Munnar tour in the winter season where we visited local waterfalls, small shopping for friends and family, and visited popular places near the town.
